Where to buy nice Wall Art?

We’ve just redecorated and got rid of some of the ‘feature walls’ wallpaper and painted everything one colour. They look nice but a bit plain and now want to hang some nice picture frames/art on the walls. I’m not talking proper art work like, Picasso etc just nice enough to make our home look bright and nice.

Where do people go to? I’ve seen some in dunelm and they didn’t look very nice, don’t mean to offend anyone but they looked cheap and although I am cheap Grin as it’s within my budget, I’m looking for something I can afford but that also looks stylish. So pls recommend away.

I got some nice prints from King & McGaw. They came framed as well (I looked into just getting the prints then framing separately but it worked out the same price and more hassle)

I have picked up most of our art from local artists - have a look on local Facebook art/craft pages and see if there's anything you like. You'll pay a bit more than something generic from ikea, but it's totally worth it.

Loving these recommendations.
@ContadoraExplorer
I’ve never heard of King & McGraw so will get looking from tomorrow.

@flibbertigibbety What a brilliant idea! I do know of of quite a few local artists from yrs back through a yearly local art exhibition and had never thought of searching on FB to see if there’s a group & see if there’s anything that might catch my fancy. I’ll definitely check to see if there’s a group.

Wayfair?

Check out your local sale rooms.

I follow a few artists on Instagram and often through them other recommendations pop up. I have bought a few Niamh Gillespie and from max made me do it. Very reasonable and gorgeous against a plain wall.

I have a gorgeous print by an artist called Yvonne Coomber, who is based in Devon.
It's the highlight of my little kitchen.
Also found a couple of one off framed paintings in TKmax, maybe worth a look.

You lot are brilliant! I’ve just come off Wayfair and they’ve got loads of nice stuff, also remebered Etsy, although I’ve never bought anything from there. Tkmaxx is another very good recommendation. I’ll also keep in mind Instagram and local sellers. Thanks all, I think I’ve got enough to keep me busy for the next few weeks.

Another vote for King & Mcgaw - they have some gorgeous stuff.

For cheap and cheerful you can't beat Iamfy

I've bought lots of prints from Etsy. I've used quite a few sellers based in the U.K. and have always been happy with the quality. The frames usually come from Amazon.

artgallery.co.uk is a fab site with original artworks for sale by some very talented artists, we have a few British artist's originals on our walls now
