Best light shade for maximum light

I need a bright room and my bedroom is especially dark to begin with. DH agrees with the need for brightness but we can't find a lampshade we agree on. Most don't let enough light out and DH cannot abide the sight of a bare bulb , even if its surrounded by some sort of glass structure.... any ideas

Please don't suggest lamps, I need the big light

Sorry, semi-flush. Flush are for bathrooms

Thanks wink I was hoping to avoid changing the fitting but the multi arm ones do seem to give the best light

I’ve got this in my very dark room. It is almost as good as day light! Dunelm do a cheaper alternative.
