Bedbound following surgery so can't do my usual four million testers.

Need a teal paint for bedroom wall that will had soft grey and powder pink bedding/light fittings etc

So many beautiful Benjamin Moore teal colours but just can't pick. Looked at all the Benjamin moore ones, Dulux Teal Tension and Proud Peacock but worried they might be blue when I would prefer to lean towards green. Rich and deep wanted.

Can anyone help narrow it down for me - decorators need to know asap. Pictures most welcome :)

I'm about to paint with F&B Vardo.

Balonziaga · 07/11/2021 18:24

Vardo is beautiful. It might be a but light - can't tell. Would love to see pictures when you're done :)

Try Little Greene Canton - similar to Vardo - or Mid Azure Green, which is both darker and greener than Canton. Have you tried searching Instagram or Pinterest for pictures from other people's houses? Searching for the paint name should bring something up.

My whole living room is proud peacock and it’s defiantly more green than blue. I did it 5 years ago and still love it. I’ll put some pics up.

TeallyMcTealson · 07/11/2021 18:40

It looks greener in real life I’d say.

I LOVE your living room Teally. PP looks promising.

Also love your user name, OBVS

I might add that I have a few rooms in F and B and they take on all the fingerprints. Dulux doesn’t and is easy to paint over.

TeallyMcTealson · 07/11/2021 19:06

Oh thanks! It’s hard to see as i have so much crap. Here’s my pale pink doors.

I bought tester pots of every shade of teal I could get my hands on. They were all too blue in my living room except for Dulux Inky Pool which was too dark and Craig & Rose French Turquoise which I used and absolutely love.

F&B Vardo.

We have it in a bedroom and it is beautiful. The soft furnishings are natural colored linens ect so they tame it somewhat. Great colour though I must say.

ApolloandDaphne · 08/11/2021 04:09

I love those colours. You have all given me an idea for my own living room. Thanks!

SleighQueen · 08/11/2021 09:09

We've got Oceans Reef. Also really nice and true to the website colour

This is a Dulux colour matched teal to one of the shades of green /blue in my curtains. The light is coming in from the west. I can dig the Hex Code out of its along the right lines.

I have Tea with Florence (think it's Little Greene)

Balonziaga · 08/11/2021 22:06

These are all really helpful - thank you.

Definitely want a jewel toned teal. Have loads of muted greens and blues around the house but want this one to be super rich. Don't mind going a bit more to the blue which completely contradicts my op

We tried pretty much every teal out there and that one is just lovely.

Try Dulux Inky Pool then. It was a bit too bright for me, I wanted muted but it was gorgeous and came in several different shades from lighter to darker.

Another vote for Vardo we have it in our living room, dark enough to look rich, light enough to be able to see the colour.

GrimDamnFanjo · 13/11/2021 16:44

Vardo is on my walls now and pleasantly surprised.
It's a rich deep teal.

Gladioli23 · 13/11/2021 16:49

I've done my bathroom in proud peacock: it looks greener in yellower light and bluer in whiter light.

We've just decorated our sitting room in this

Might be a little bit greyer than you're looking for but we really like it, very calming.

I really liked one of the Benjamin Moore shades I found on Pinterest but didn't know where it's stocked?
