Is there such a thing as a foot rug and where might I buy one?

Literally after a warm rug for my feet. I've had to set up a home office in a little room which has a tiled floor and despite buying thermal socks, the cold still seeps through the tiles. I can't have anything too big as I think it will impact my wheeled chair, so literally something for my feet to rest on and ideally a bit snuggly. Does such a thing exist? Any inspirational ideas welcome please!

Fold up a fleecy blanket? Then you can slip your feet into the folds too

See if you can get a carpet sample tile from a carpet shop, or an off cut from someone who has just had a carpet fitted. DH has an off cut from DS bedroom carpet under his desk in his study and does exactly the job you are looking for.

You could probably get a small sheepskin from somewhere. I think IKEA has inexpensive ones

Second the fuzzy bath mat.

I use my DC’s old Moses basket mattress for this purpose! Old carpet tiles would stop the cold too. Neither are particularly ‘snuggly’ though. If you Google ‘adult foot muffs’ there are a few things that might suit - what about this?

If you look in the door mat section at somewhere like Wilkins they usually have them made of carpet rather than just the tough ones for outside.

You've all been so helpful, thank you so much! The bath mat is a genius idea and the carpet samples I had considered, but I was conscious they might cause issues with my chair, so....... Don't tell anyone, but..... I've ordered the big slipper And I'm super excited about it.

My kids and husband are horrified but the cold feet are NO MORE!!

I got my Dd a similar big slipper as a bit of a joke present one year, I think it's been the most used Christmas present ever. My brother bought me a slanket too at a similar or possibly even the same Christmas. 12 year old Dd used them both almost everyday during the winter lockdown and declares them the best thing ever. Not sure she'd use them if her friends were about though.

I bought a heated faux fur blanket/throw for the sofa a few years ago. Game changer, I love it.

Dsis sent me this randomly as I always have cold feet. I have to fight DP and anyone else in the house to get mine in there first 😂

@Igloo71 I'm not sure a foot warmer could ever be chic but thank you. I think she's trying to inject some class into my lounge, a thankless task if ever there was one now that DP and his carved wooden crocodile are in situ
