Does anyone have a dark rug in their lounge/front room?

I want a dark purple one. I have only ever had light colour carpets and they don’t really show up everyday ‘fluff’. If you have a dark rug, do you regret not having a lighter one or is the dark ok? I don’t have little dc running around spilling drink etc but wondering if a dark one I would regret in case it shows up all the dirt/lint/random stuff?

I have an old dark one in the kids room and sorry but it’s awful for seeing bits on it! Crumbs/hairs whatever, it’s so much worse than on a light one. It could just be a particularly Velcro ish rug but I would never get a dark one again

Totally self coloured is a nightmare, but I have taken a chance and, today, ordered a dark charcoal one with some texture and faded bits ( sounds lovely I know! ) as the light coloured one I tried just looks wrong in the room.
I have black dogs , and light colours look awful when I can’t get round to vacuuming every hour , so 🤞🏻

I had a dark rug and it just showed up fluff.
My dog has mixed black./white/beige fur so moved my rugs around and bought a cream rug with grey/blues in so dog floof is less noticeable.
