We're redoing the utility room but I haven't quite figured out what to do in terms of cupboards, sink unit etc. We'll need to buy some but we have a lot of perfectly serviceable units in the attic, quacker like style, in a green/sage colour. As we're going to get more, I thought I could repaint them all.

Any advice on paint, brushes and rollers to use? I'm assuming sugar soap, bit of light sanding and then paint (having taken them off their hinges, handles off etc).

Join the french chic group on facebook. Amazing makeovers on there and people are always happy to share advice.

I’ve always used eggshell finish on my cupboards, Mylands has proven to be the most hardwearing hasn’t chipped or marked, I personally don’t like Frenchic paint find it difficult to work with & the FB group is a bit bonkers.

I have to admit I have looked at a couple of the FB groups who appear to be a collection of well meaning zealots. I'm not sure I'd be able to live up to their expectations.
