Anyone used either of these two colours? I'm just wondering how they compare, before I go on another sample pot shopping spree. Thanks!

My kitchen cabinets are painted in Mizzle and I'm about to do the wooden units and bath panel in my bathroom, in the same colour. It's very easy to live with and seems warm and on the green side rather than cold and grey.

I think you have to try them in the place you are planning to put them, unfortunately. The light affects them so much.

I was really keen on Mizzle from the colour chart but it looked really dark and grungy when I tried a sample pot on the wall. I’ve just checked and I also have a sample pot of Cromarty in the cupboard, but I can’t remember what it looked like and didn’t go for it, so I was obviously underwhelmed.

The endless sample potting is expensive, but it’s a lot less expensive than buying a big pot and getting half way round the room before you realise you don’t like it. I think it’s unavoidable really.

Also check colour by room lights in the evening.

Try tranquil Dawn by dulux, I think its a mid point between the two. Definitely green but with grey undertones

Little Greene paint colours Salix and Pearl Colour are very similar and it is fantastic quality paint. Have used mostly F&B paints for years as their books are helpful (and for the lazy reason that I pass one of their shops most days), but it marks so easily and my decorators find it needs more coats than LG. LG doesn’t seem to spend much on marketing, but the National Trust partnership is impressive.
@postitnot I have used Dulux Tranquil Dawn in a downstairs cloakroom and am really pleased with the choice.

I got testers for both Cromarty and mizzle when redecorating the hall and stairs- as previous posters said, tranquil dawn was the final choice as both of them were just too dingy when on the wall. I think it depends on the light quality of whichever area you’re painting- if north facing I wouldn’t use Mizzle or Cromarty.

I've just painted our spare room in Mizzle and really like it.

It's very calming and to me is more on the green than grey side.
