When measuring for radiator covers do you measure just the radiator or the valves/pipes at the bottom as well?

Not a stupid question at all! Measure the height of the pipes and the width of the valves too.

Thank you! I’ve been driving myself mad trying to figure it out x

all i will say is think about how you are going to control the radiator. We only had one cover in the hall on the bleed radiator, as that never needed turning up or down.

In this house we have had to unscrew the fronts from two covers to access the valves to turn the buggers down.

One cover has a lovely hole in the side perfect for the valve to poke out of ( horizontally) and two others have holes so that you can turn the control that is set vertically providing you do not have sausage fingers like dh

Also measure how far out from the wall the rads are, some are quite deep compared to the covers.

Oooh I have a question about radiator covers for those that have them - how does it affect the actual heating of the house? Do you notice you have to have the heating on for longer, for example, to get the house warm as usual?
