I’ve got to make an effort to paint my bathroom and kitchen soon, the lack of progress is frustrating me now - but I can’t decide on colours!
I’ve got a small bathroom - about 2.4 x 1.2mtr and I’ve had one and a half walls tiled in white subway tiles and black grout. Ive thought pink for a while (mainly coz I like how it looks with some dark green or navy blue accessories) - I’ve had paint chips on my walls for a few weeks and think this one is the best of those

It’s not ‘pink pink’ but feels like a fairly neutral pink. I’d like a colour as opposed to white so that it’s not too clinical. The bathroom used to be a pale mint green so I’d rather not do that. I’m not opposed to blue, ive been avoiding grey but that’s more because I’ve not seen it in small bathrooms.

My kitchen is about 3mtr x 2mtr, it has white gloss cupboards and a dark Galaxy style worktop. It’s currently a cream colour on the walls but it used to have tiles up to 300mm above worktop, which I replaced with an upstand, so does need painting. I’ve been thinking about painting the area where the tiles used to be, so a horizontal band of colour (in line with top of the splashback) - because painting all of it takes it from a job I can do myself to something I’d have to get done properly - which means I’ll struggle to get it done this side of Christmas, the way trades are around here. But again, struggling to think of a colour that would look good against white/black/cream. I don’t mind something bold here because it’s likely I’ll get it decorated properly in a few years.

Both rooms are south/east facing but the kitchen doesn’t get tons of sunlight as the window is on a wall facing a fence, and the bathroom has a big window but frosted glass.

I want to do it myself because other things can’t be done until the painting has been done, and I want to make some progress soon without having to rely on tradespeople!

Can anyone with a better eye than me suggest any colours that might work? I feel like the kitchen one should be so easy but it’s like I’ve gone blind when it comes to inspiration!

I’ve got Nana’s pearls and it is very pink. Have you got a tester or just the cards? It is lovely if it’s toned down with other things (so white tiles and green accessories great).

I do think you need a strong colour with white tiles (off white or pale just doesn’t work). A wedgewood blue kind of colour?
