About to start redecorating my lounge. Brown leather sofas, off white walls. I have a pair of paintings I’ve had for years, of koi in a pond (pics attached), which are quite dark and moody. I’d like to find some similarly dark, moody, autumnal toned curtain fabric to complement them, but I’m struggling. We mostly use the lounge in the colder months, as it has a big open fire in an inglenook fireplace, so I’d like this room to feel cosy. Nearly all the curtain fabrics I’ve looked at seem to have a pale base colour, and I really want dark.
Any suggestions? I love Timorous Beasties and House of Hackney type fabrics, but none of theirs seem quite right for this room.
