We are 2 years into a reno of a large Edwardian semi.
Working our way through bedrooms at the moment, and currently stripping back what will be DS's room.
Boarded up fireplace in the room, with a surround that has been painted over and over again in white gloss.
OH took the board off the other day and we discovered a cast iron fireplace with nicotine brown painted tiles on the surround.
I spent some time stripping the tiles today, and they have come up beautifully!
Got the other side to do plus a big job getting the cast iron stripped back, but very excited
