Help choosing a photo frame

Hi

DH has accepted a job in another country. Due to the visa bureaucracy me and the kids can't go with him in the first months Sad

Anyways, I wanted to give him a photo frame to take. He'll be living in the company's accommodation so it's to be a nice personal touch.

I have attached the 2 that I am conflicted about and would really like to hear your opinions.

One (silver plated) is more classic, foldable (so easier for the travel), and tbh my favourite. The other one (wooden) is more edgy but it's bulkier. However it has one big advantage to the silver one which is it can take landscape photos.

We have 3 kids so a lot of photos of the kids and us are landscape and not portrait Shock

What would you do?

Also, this job offer came quite abruptly and he's leaving soon. That means I can't wait 2 weeks or wtv for some special frame to arrive from an online retailer.

I’d go with the flat one as easier to pack. Can he also take a few separate frames so he can have them either way up? Or buy some when he’s there.

The silver one. It more aesthetically pleasing and it's more practical.

He can have the landscape photos on his phone or on a USB stick.
