Living room is this green (pea green by Little Green).

Sofa is an IKEA Ektorp and needs new covers which come in grey or beige it seems but can get themed from Etsy.

What colour sofa would go with the green? I have no eye for this at all!

Depends, what color is your wood work, metal work, etc?

Waferbiscuit · 29/09/2021 22:42

Dark blue. Peach or coral.

I love googling complimentary colours.

Turmerictolly · 29/09/2021 22:43

I'm boring so would go with cream and jazz up with cushions but I think a navy velvet would work or golds. Look up the colour wheel for opposite colours or complementaries..

BEMZ for covers!

What other colours are in the room? Curtains, floor etc?

headlock · 29/09/2021 22:46

There are so many colours that look good with green.

Nettleskeins · 29/09/2021 22:46

Not gold.
Rust colour or terracotta.
Bluey green
Maybe a print of rusty pink and white (chintzy)

CommanderBurnham · 29/09/2021 22:47

Salmon pink/ dark green for a tropical or a botanical theme

Candy colours with gold accessories will give it a 50s style theme. Think candy pink velvet sofa, good birdcage type lantern

Muted creams, beiges with big flowers in vases with muted metallics for and elegant classic theme.

Khaki looks depressing though. What if you repaint??
Fresh white would be very nice, the green is quite iverpowering

LateMumma · 29/09/2021 22:54

Very dark blue with a hint of green

kristplankook · 30/09/2021 07:23

Ooh thanks all.

Floor is oak wood, blinds are white wood. Victorian bay window. Fireplace is a hole no mantel but has slate grate.

I know its over powering - maybe - I just love it!
