Post build cleaning...

Hi all - should I book this in before carpets are down so they go down in a clean dust free space or after so the carpet cutting mess is cleared up too? Thanks for your help

We paid for a big clean at the end, but it wasn’t too bad before the carpets went in - you could get a suitable hoover and do the floors before the carpets go down?

I'm thinking I need to book our post build clean before they decorate... and that's happening before carpets are laid.

I can't believe how much dust there is on everything!!

You need to try to do it as much as possible at each point. If you paint with dust in the air, you’ll paint over the dust! You need to get as much up as possible before the carpets go down then a massive clean at the end. The first self build I did we waited until the end and I was still finding dust settling months later. This time there was none.

I'd leave the carpets till last.
