Curtain poles and internal doors

So I should be in my new home on Friday. So much work to do but one of the first jobs will be putting up a curtain pole in the master bedroom. I am torn between an oak pole or a white pole.

Same with the doors. Currently all internal doors are 6 white panelled. But downstairs a number of doors are missing so we'll need to get new ones. So I could take the opportunity to replace all internal doors with oak doors. I struggle with doors to find many I like. My favourite is a 4 panel oak Victorian style. The house I'm buying was built in the 70s.

I feel like the purchase of the curtain pole will dictate what we do with the doors.

So please advise do I go with oak or white doors?

I don't think the curtain pole has to dictate what colour doors you go for? I'm in a 1970s built bungalow and have put in oak doors but all my other woodwork is white (sills, skirting and architraves). I have a brass curtain track in the lounge and other poles or tracks or white.

Do you have a photo or link of the door?

And how exciting about moving into your new home!

I think it depends on the house and the individual with curtain poles, but personally I always choose either white or metal.

Congratilations with the move! Have you decided what colour pallette are you going to have for your rooms? What curtains, carpet, furniture are you going to choose? Usually, when you decide on that, a colour and style for a curtain pole comes much easier. Here are some ideas for you and links for poles. Hope it will help.
