Has anyone tried Johnstone's colour match for Farrow and Ball via Brewers? Was it a good match? Thanks 😊

My local Brewers said Dulux is the best F&B match they do. I went with Little Greene match in the end, in Johnstone's.

Yes was good for us

We used it once for F&B Snow White. I swear they forgot to put the pigment in, as it was indistinguishable from the basic white emulsion we used on the ceiling.

So haven’t used it again.

I’ve found the Johnstone’s colour matching a little hit and miss- I had two colours mixed up by them and one was ok, but the other was quite noticeably different. No colour match will be exact, but I’ve found the Dulux matches to be better.

@Wildwood6 thanks. I heard that with Dulux they just give you the closest colour that Dulux have but with Johnstone's they try to mix it to match the F&B colours? Not sure if that's right though ....

Hi @morningporridge, yes I’d heard that too- in fact because of that I tried Johnstone’s colour match first. However the Dulux was definitely a closer match. Wherever you go it’s unlikely to be 100% identical though, just so you’re aware. For my money the Dulux was close enough!

We got half the internal house painted at a time. First painter used Johnstones and the second used Dulux for colour matches for F&B and both are excellent.

@Forestcantrun thanks, that's reassuring! It's still a lot of money to spend even on the colour match so we want it to turn out as we're hoping!! Did you colour match F&B whites for skirting boards etc?
