Garden table with a fire pit - anyone got one?

Just looking for some garden furniture and have seen one of these advertised. Does anyone have them? Is it a nice feature or is really annoying? It would be such a bonus to be able to continue to sit outside of an evening.

I’m curious, how big is the fire pit?
Struggling to see the benefit tbh as you’d be really close to the smoke, it’d be bright- but you’d struggle to see the person opposite you- & only your top half would be warm.
Have you got a link?

Can hoh post a link, is it a gas fire or something in thr midfle?

We have a gas one! It's amazing, looks beautiful and kicks out enough warmth to remain outside when it's dark. No smoke / smell either. We bought it from Moda Furnishings - it's an arc one, would totally recommend

It's a gas one which is why I think it might actually work. I've spent far too many evenings the "wrong" side of a wood fire pit, camp fire etc to ever contemplate getting one myself.
It's basically a coffee table with a fire pit in the middle. The gas canister is underneath. There looked as though there would be enough room around the outside to put glasses although not plates of food. However, there is a sort of lid you can put over the fire pit bit so you can then use that. We've got an outdoor dining table so this area would be used for sitting around chatting with tea/wine etc rather than for meals

@santaslittlehohoho can you toast marshmallows in it? Been eyeing them up for ages.

santaslittlehohoho · 12/09/2021 10:00

@bananananadakrie we do on ours! It kicks off more than enough heat to toast them on a high setting Smile. We just make sure the marshmallows don't fall on the bits in the fire pit (like tiny pieces of mirror / glass but blunt) otherwise it'd be a pain to clean!

Ooohhh ... I hadn't thought you'd be able to toast marshmallows. I am getting very excited. Just need to do a bit more measuring and make sure it will actually fit

We have one where you can either have the centre as a fire pit/BBQ or drinks cooler. It is good for cooler evenings but a bit impractical if you want a BBQ in the middle of summer as we are roasting if we sit right next to it. In the summer we either use the cooler or just have a parasol in the centre.

We have one - a tall table with the fire in the middle. It has a glass frame around the outside of the fire and also a stainless steel cover so you can take the frame off and just use it as a table. It's great and the stools dry really quickly too
