Black?

Hercisback · 31/08/2021 19:04

House near us has painted the wood on the mock tudor a more grey colour and gone for slate grey windows. It looks really good.

That's sounds nice

Black or white. Why on earth is everyone suggesting cream?!

SiobhanSharpe · 31/08/2021 20:25

Surely black will echo the colour of the beams or white the colour of the plaster?
My DM had a mock tudor/tudorbethan with white plaster work and black wooden beams.
The windows were white.

And grey - surely grey has had its moment by now?

It's absolutely everywhere and has been for a decade or so.

Are you any good with photoshop, or know anyone who is? It’s great for these kind of decisions!

Black and white properties are traditionally oak, which is weathered grey, not black.

My mock Tudor house was brown windows and beams. I’ve painted them all black, ronseal 10 yr woodstain. Looks great.

What do your neighbours have? Which of them looks good?

Same colour as the dark bits of on the house. Black/very dark grey.
