I'm going mad here 😭 save me please 🤣

Needs to be:
A. No longer than 185cm,
B. A single size mid sleeper type,
C. Tall enough (77cm) to fit an 8 cube kallax under.

Please help so I don't have to pay the custom designed price 😬

Yes the room really is that small...😭

A standard single mattress is 190cm long so you won't find a frame less than that for a normal single mattress. The European singles are 200cm long. Ikea sell some "foam" mattresses. Maybe buy one and trim it, you can't do that with a spring one.
Look on Pinterest for ikea bed hack to show you how to use kallax frames to make a bed that fits. All you might need to do is have a bit of mdf cut to size at b&q (they do it free)

Oooh I forgot about Wayfair. Thankyou.

Argos sells one that's a perfect fit length and width but unfortunately it's 2cm too low. I suggested adding extra bits of wood as feet to it but DH thinks the wood would split or we would make it unsafe.

I'm shit at DIY.

I have a suitable mattress as DC is currently in a modified bed, but we need more storage with Christmas coming.

We looked into the kallax bed before but couldn't figure how to make it work and access all the boxes.

The room is 185cm x 210cm but the bed can only go on the 185cm wall or the door would be blocked 🙄

Stupid really.

Can the door be rehung to open outwards?

For a cynical way to access double depth kallax boxes I sewed 2 boxes together for a double depth "drawer" for a kallax that slotted under the loft conversion stairs. It's still attached 4 years later.

We have this and bed constructed from kallax

Thanks everyone feeling a lot less defeated now.

Really like the idea of sewn together boxes, that's really crafty.
Unfortunately can't rehang the door due to position of stairs.
We rent this house, pleased we do, I will never buy a new build lol.

I'll show DH and DC all these tomorrow and see what they think, thankyou for your help!
