Anybody know about bean bags?

I wanted to make my son a little comfy reading space. I've gone online to buy one - they now come in so many shapes, sizes and configurations! Can anyone recommend a particular shape? Are the chair-type ones better?

(I've only experienced the 1990s uncomfy bean blob and inflatable chair trends so any help appreciated!!)

The ones I'm looking at are either round blobby ones, triangle chair ones, bucket chair ones or big rectangles. This bean bag site has an insane picture guide.

I got big rectangular ones but they aren't that comfy. A sphere might be better but it may depend on the filling too?

I had one in the 1980s and would plump it up but by the end of the evening all the little beads had always gone sideways and I was sitting on the floor! So I hope they have improved.

I tried a chair one for my dd but the dimensions were all weird and she could never sit in it comfortably. Classic Blob shape is still the way to go for smaller kids. Oversize blob shape for teens.
