I have seen a few messages on here asking about experiences with Carpetright. They do have regular sales and discounts which makes them look attractive however you get what you pay for.
We purchased a carpet but within weeks of it being fitted, the carpet shrunk and had to be refitted. It was a real inconvenience to move all the furniture again.
A few years later the carpet came away from the grippers and started to ruck up in the centre of the rooms and landing (see pics).
When we contacted Carpetright we were told that the fitting is only guaranteed for a year and the carpet for only 5 years.
If we had known the short warranty terms we would have looked elsewhere. Nobody wants to buy a carpet in the knowledge that it could come loose after a year and that the life of the carpet is expected to be no more than 5 years!
We will have to have it refitted and this time we will look for a local supplier with a good reputation.
