De Nimes walls

I'm going to paint my small living room in F&B De Nimes/colour match to make it nice and cosy. Currently have old tatty beige sofas so am looking to get new ones but agonising over the colour.

We've found a style we like but the colour we originally liked pretty much blends into the wall so now we're eyeing up a bright peacock/teal velvet version. What about mustard yellow, or forest green or navy? I have no taste so can't decide what's hideous or not.

As an aside, the Valspar colour match is spot on. I can't tell the difference between it and the real thing.

Looks amazing in the home office and goes beautifully with mustard tones

We have a de nimes living room, also in Johnstone’s and I love it but find it weirdly difficult to co-ordinate.

I’m currently looking for a new sofa and think I’m going to go for a mushroom colour like this.

I would go with mustard yellow

I would go with something matching and then use the yellow as an accent with cushions etc
