Hidden monitors (desk) for WFH?

I'm trying desperately to find something that would hide monitors when I'm not working (getting so fed up with work equipment visible all the time in living space).

I work with 2 monitors (about 50cm wide) and about 20cm deep with the stands. I had found this (and planned to 'hack' it so would just use the frame without the internal shelves / dividers) which seems perfect as it doesn't look too office-y and doesn't encroach into the room too much - but its just not quite wide/deep enough. wall desk

Has anyone seen anything similar but slightly bigger or does anyone have any other ideas how I can hide them?

Could you take that idea to a local carpenter and see what they could do?

Yes, thats my Plan B if I can't find a ready made one. Thank you

Dont know how to do links, but what about the Marcell desk bureau from Made.com?

If you remove the stands and mount the monitors directly to the wall, that might simplify the carpentry. Also switching to a single large monitor.

There's a guy on youtube, DIY Perks, that does kind of stuff. He made a hollow shelf above his desk and the monitor folds up into it when not in use.
Not something you can easily knock up at home but it's an idea although maybe too big with two monitors.

Google “office in a wardrobe”. Lots of ideas there.

I have a thing that looks like a wardrobe when closed, but had a slide out keyboard shelf, desk top and shelves in the top half, cupboards underneath. I probably wouldn’t fit 2 monitors in though. Similar in idea to the made.com one that @bananananadakrie had linked, but different styling.

Hi! Would something like this www.wayfair.co.uk/furniture/pdp/zipcode-design-crader-secretary-desk-merw1815.html?piid= suit you?

Thank you for all the suggestions, I'd seen the Marcel bureau from Made.com but its just not quite wide enough. Some really good advice though, thanks

That’s a really interesting idea, but I suspect it would feel very off to use as the monitor would be so far forward in comparison to the keyboard and the edge of the desk.

I suspect you could do something similar with a swing arm for the monitor though. Particularly if you housed it in a dresser style cabinet.

Wayfair sell things called secretary desks, you might find something there
