Hanging set of 6 pictures and need your tips!

So I've sourced the reasonably priced botanical prints, navigated the online frame design and ordering process, and now have the job of hanging 6 pictures in a perfectly aligned grid. I have a plan involving laying them all out on the floor on a huge sheet of paper which I will mark up and then transfer to the wall etc etc but there must be an easier way. Has anyone nailed (ahem) the technique for hanging pictures? Any tips and hacks?

There are tools you can buy to help with this (seen them advertised but not used one so can't recommend). There are various versions, if you Google 'picture hanging tool' they'll hopefully come up.

Are you doing them 2x3 or all on a straight line?

You only need to mark the wall where the center of the frame goes, measure your wall width then divide, draw a line at the height required then mark where your picture centre Will be, if your making a grid put another line for the lower pictures and then a vertical line from your top line centres onto you lower line place your hooks on the centre marks or if your sticking you just need to line up the centres of the frame

Just measure the distance between the nails to make sure they’re the same. Marking out on paper is definitely overkill for 6 pictures with equal spacing!!

I really like the Velcro fixings for hanging pictures. There would probably be frames where they wouldn’t work so well but so far I’ve had success with most pictures using them. It makes lining them up in a grid pattern really easy.

Love the frames - where are they from?

I got them custom made online from eframe. The frame is MLDA893 (54mm wide, medium oak, stain).
