Just that really, I’ve always loved curtains in bedrooms as always thought they make the room look cosy, but must admit there are some lovely blinds about, Thoughts please

I'd get both if your budget allows it. A blind for privacy/blocking light, and curtains to dress the window.

Curtains, 100%. There are wonderful blackout curtains available. I have ones with grommets and use lovely curtain rods. I hate blinds. They are a faff and just gather dust.

I bought Roman blinds but instead of putting them in the window alcove, I fit them outside, I couldn't decide between curtains or blinds so thought this was a nice compromise

Blinds for me, I’m really not a fan of curtains. Im not sure why but I think they just look fussy and dated.

Much prefer curtains personally. Blinds let light in around the edges, but good thick curtains properly block out the light. Plus I think they make a room look cosier; blinds can look a bit clinical/officey.

We’re having this dilemma - have decided to go for curtains.

Always curtains. Blinds look clinical and cold and office like.

I have accepted them in the study as that's a functional room, wouldn't countenance them anywhere else.

Maybe I am wrong but I thought curtains take more space and would make a small room look even smaller whereas blinds would not.

I'm removing blinds from windows of our new house as I feel they block the top part of the light/view when fitted in the alcove. With curtains you can pull them right to the sides.
