Sleepover bed options for kids

What do you do for child guests (under 10) when they are having a sleepover? A trundle bed won't quite fit under DSs bed and it was quite an expensive one so I'm not super keen to replace.

How many friends would be sleeping over, how big is DS's bed currently?

Are you looking to get another bed? It would be helpful to see the room and know the dimensions

single air bed? cheap and easy to put away.

We've got one of these from the futon company and it's been well used mainly by DC and their friends but it seems comfy enough although not massively long so better suited to children/teens. They also do roll up mats which look a good option if you're short on space

When mine had sleepovers they pulled the cushions off the couch and slept on them.

We got this, from Loaf, it's fab: loaf.com/products/kids-sleepover-cushion

I think Great Little Trading Co have sleepover cushions too...

We have a Haru chair from Made.com. It lives in another room and serves as an armchair there, but is easy enough to carry through when needed.

If we didn’t need the armchair function I’d probably go for a foam cube type thing with a cover like houseyhousey’s picture. I think John Lewis has something similar.

We used to use blow up air beds! Always worked just fine and will do the same when DS (6) is slightly older r

We use roll-up mats from the Futon Company, they're full length but slightly narrower than a single bed do good for kids and teens. They're on the thin side so I do double them up on top of each other if we just have the one child staying, but it's fine for one night here or there with a single mat. We have these ones https://www.futoncompany.co.uk/sleepover/roly-poly-fjord-blue-handloom.html
