Stair carpets

We are recarpetting our stairs and landing, currently a dark red colour which is looking a bit tatty after 12 years. I went looking for inspiration to a few carpet shops and was rather uninspired by the sea of grey-greige-beige. I appreciate that most people want a neutral colour, but what about those that don’t? There are so many gorgeous deep colours being used for kitchens and furniture at the moment, why have these trends not carried through to the carpet shops? I really fancy a dark forest green or similar. But nope!
Has anyone re-carpeted in recent years and could share, or pics or inspiration from elsewhere? Huge thanks!

No pics sadly, but I did have a beautiful dark blue carpet through the hall and stairs a few years ago. Absolute nightmare. Every single crumb, but of fluff, general detritus showed up on it. I probably vacuumed twice a day, and that was before I got dogs.
There may well be a reason that solid dark colours are not so popular.😁

We've just gone with a chevron patterned carpet in teal made by Adams carpets. It was pretty expensive but is a kind of showpiece stair runner so worth it.

They have tons of amazing colours and 'tweedy' type looks. Have a look on John Lewis at castlemead. Ours is Flare.

Why not edge a runner with a jewel like colour and paint the woodwork a contrasting one? We redecorated our hall & stairs earlier in the year and did the attached. I love it! It looks modern but still traditional to fit in the house. The pink might be a bit out there for you but how about a deep green edging instead?

Again not especially cheap, but have a look at Alternative Flooring, lots of lovely patterns. There's also Roger Oates, gorgeous stair runners, but £££!
