Sofa with high, wide arms?

I'll need new sofas for my new house. I love the look of the Cocoon Victoria sofas, boxy shaped with wide arms. But I don't necessarily need a sofa bed. Has anyone come across any similar sofas where I'll not be paying extra for the bed bit that is likely to be unused?

I currently have an Ikea Vimle in the back room which I like for its high arms and they're wide enough to balance a laptop or book on which I love, but I fancy something different. I've found the fabric hasn't worn very well with the Vimle.

(I also quite fancy green velvet, although I have a mucky child and dog so I'm not sure how sensible that is for now...)

Is M&S Nantucket’s arms too low for you? They seem wide enough to put a book or laptop on. And pretty flat on the edge.

Thanks WellTidy. Yes, nice and wide but I think too low. I like to curl up in the corner made by a higher arm, if you see what I mean. Smile I've never looked at M&S furniture before though, so thanks for mentioning.

Like a Chesterfield style sofa?

Thanks StateOfMatter. I don't really like Chesterfield sofas, but that kind of height of arms/back are perfect, yes. But with flatter arms, more boxy looking maybe...

Sofology Collingdale range has wide arms and also doesn't have the multiple 'scatter' back cushions - arms may not be high enough though.

Have a look at Nabru. They do a boxy, high, wide arm. We're very happy with ours.

Brilliant, thanks both. Will take a look.
