Has anyone had an ikea sofa? Currently eyeing up the Ektorp 3 seater chaise longue. Wanted something neutral and non offensive, that’ll hopefully last a few years.

Yep, have had a 2 seater ektorp sofa and a 3-seater ektorp sofabed for 12 years now, and still going strong!

We had Ektorps for 10 years or more. Only changed them as we fancied a different shape, they still had loads of life left in them!

Our IKEA sofa is 24 years old And still going strong

It's been demoted from living room to play room but 2 sets of covers means I can wash them when the spills get too much

Really happy with it

11yo ektorp here. Two of them.

Only reason we are eyeing up something new is we've just bought our own house and they are the wrong size for the room...we need a corner sofa really.

A definite yes! Ikea sofas are a good price, washable covers and comfy. Ektorps are really comfy, so I’d say go for it

I replaced mine after 5 years with a Next one, turned out to be big waste of money I should have never got rid. but now looking for excuses to replace it with a new Ektorp

We have a very expensive sofa in the sittingroom and Ektorps n the tv room, and the Ektorps are much more comfortable. Had them around 5 years in a house full of teens and their friends and they are as good as new.

Wow sounds like a brilliant sofa, thank you so much for replies!

If you'll forgive the partial hijack, OP, does anyone have an IKEA Farlov, Stockholm (2017) or Stocksund? Am eyeing up these and thinking of splashing out on covers from Bemz to go with whichever one we might get.

Any experience of living with these for a while much appreciated as the reviews on the Ikea website are inevitably mostly from recent purchases. Thanks!
