Anyone got any ideas for something functional yet decorative I could have in this space instead of the desk?
It's just outside our bedroom on the 2nd floor and whilst it seemed an obvious study area, the reality is we just don't use it, it looks ugly and we could do with some more storage. We don't wft so any admin is done at the kitchen table plus the ceiling is quite sloped so it feels too oppressive to be a study/seating area.
I don't want built-in but could do with some sort of trunk or chest for all our bedding plus some pretty bits - I'd just like a nice area to look at on my way to bed each night 
Any ideas? Styling tips also appreciated as I'd just put a chest of drawers and not know how to pretty it up!
