Kitchen windows- what to put up?

Hi all
We are (nearly) at end of new kitchen fitting so am planning for “finishing touches”. We have a fairly small kitchen with two windows facing into side - currently there are Roman blinds (from previous owner). My question is if privacy not an issue what window dressing do you have? I don’t want a particularly “sterile” look but also don’t want new ones (whatever they are) to be greasy, smelly or hard to clean. They are above worktop and high up do pretty hard to keep clean regularly- any ideas please?

Have nothing? Just put plants in the windowsill if privacy is a problem.

That sounds “bold” but like the idea of having nothing. Thanks

I really like cafe tier curtains.

Thanks Rosie - off to Google what they are!

I took so long deciding. The only thing that looked nice would be a Roman blind but it would get so dirty. So I bought a frosting panel for the bottom window as a temporary measure and it looks ok! Not as nice as a blind but much more practical.

As suggested by @Mosaic123 have some plants.

I've put herbs in these Cole & Mason self watering pots (these are 2 months old now) and I love the greenery.

+1 for nothing

Or a roller blind if it ends up being cold in winter… I’d start with no window coverings and see how you go
