We unearthed this beautiful original parquet flooring.
The decorator is coming tomorrow we are keeping the floor dark. The new mantle and windowsill are having a clear wood treatment on.
Would you stain the skirting dark to match the floor or keep it natural to match the mantle, skirting and furniture?

I would stain to match the floor

Your floor is stunning.

I’d paint the skirting and window boards white and oil that mantle a darker shade (but a shade or two lighter than the floor) to tone in with floor.

And you didn’t ask but I’d paint the walls a chalky white.

It looks like a lovely room.

Don't keep the skirting natural. Paint it white to blend in with the walls. And I agree I would stain the mantel slightly darker.
