Command strips on painted lining paper

Just that really - has anyone used command strips on a wall covered with painted lining paper? For various reasons I’ve got this in my lounge and I’m hesitant to use command strips as the pack says not to use on wallpaper. But would the lining paper be different to normal wallpaper as it’s been painted?

Dunno about lining paper, but since my first and only experience of command strips resulted in them pulling the plaster off the wall at the point where you remove the picture from the wall for the first time before fixing it jproperly, I would approach with extreme caution. If it says don't do it, don't! WHy can't you use those hooks with tiny pins? They make barely a mark and are easy to paint over after removal.

Good question - My original plan was to do a photo wall and I thought command strips would be easier (and easier to move if needed) than putting in loads of picture hooks, but I might have to rethink that now.
