What lights do people have in the hall and landing? We've still got those from the previous owners and are decorating so fancy some new ones. Any ideas?

Giving you a bit of a bump as I'd like some ideas too. We just have bare bulbs hanging down.

I really fancy some ribbed glass pendants but our ceilings aren't particularly high so thinking about semi-flush mounted.

I don't mind spending a bit but if I do I want to make sure that it won't date. I really like all the rattan light shades at the moment but worry they'll date and wonder if I only like them because I see them everywhere

It depends on how much ceiling height you've got but I'm rather partial to the glass pendants from Jim Lawrencewww.jim-lawrence.co.uk/glass-pendant-lights

@Wildwood6 they're really nice but yes, think ceiling height might be a problem!

Large version of this downstairs hall and a few of the medium ones upstairs.

@jaundicedoutlook we had these in our old place. Lovely but they didn't emit much light. We had them as wall lights. Do they work for you? Maybe ours were an older model

They work well for us. Use LED bulbs and we have got 4 of them upstairs, but the single big one downstairs is plenty bright enough.
