Recreate the hotel boutique feel

Since the advent of Covid and being unable to travel as often, I realised how much I missed that feeling of the hotel linen Blush I’m also aiming to declutter my home so I have that same relaxed feeling when I enter my bedroom or any other room at home.

I’d love to recreate that feeling at home. Where can I buy the pillow case, bedsheets, mattress cover, duvet cover etcetera? I was told it was white Egyptian cotton. Also I’m assuming the hotel linen are laundered in a specific way. Can that be done at home or will I need special equipment for that?

Try Dusk.

Mattress topper, new pillows, high thread count egyptian cotton.

Hotels iron... I don't.

What really makes a hotel bed for me:

  • So many layers. Sheet, duvet, bedspread, runner. All tucked very tightly into each other.
  • Pillows, cushions and more pillows.
  • Well pressed/ ironed sheets. Even if it’s fitted.
  • Not heavily perfumed washing powder or detergent.

I always thought thread count came into it but now I have to feel the fabric in the shop and I just know if it's any good. Has to be 100% cotton.

I rate the m&s fitted sheets and dunelm dorma range for lovely soft silky feeling bedding. I do think ironing it makes a
Massive difference but I don't ever do that!
