We recently got a new superking bed and I bought some 100% cotton bedding from Next. it’s weirdly shiny and hot! I have my eye on this french linen from Soak and Sleep because i got some lovely bedding from there years ago and it’s still like brand new. It’s king size so too small for the new bed.
Does anyone have any recommendations please?
Must be 100% cotton, not much else!
french linen

Also does anyone have experience of french linen? Does it shrink and misshape like linen clothes or is that just me?!

I really like Bedfolk, I have both the Classic Cotton and Linen. I love the fact the pillow flap is in the centre so my pillows don't escape.

I had the Soak & Sleep French Linen years ago and I really liked it at the time but the Bedfolk Linen feels more luxurious and soft.

If I were in the market for lovely new bedding and could afford it, I'd definitely go for pure linen. I've never owned any, but slept in it at the house of a wealthy relative of dh's in France. She had a whole huge cupboard of pure linen bedding, immaculately ironed by her housekeeper . It was heavenly to sleep in - nothing else like it!

John Lewis do a linen range of bedding, in some nice colours.

I'm still debating.

LaRedoute do linen bedding too. Pretty affordable.

Dip & Doze.

You can have cool and crisp or soft and smooth.

Thank you so much everyone for your recommendations, i had a lovely evening swooning over lovely bedding. I have gone for La Redoute linen bedding, lots were out of stock, i can’t decide if everyone is beautifying their bedrooms at the minute! 😆
Will look forward to them arriving, i’ll let you know how i get on! Flowers

We bought a load of Soak and Sleep linen for the bed and my DH said it was too scratchy. I got a bit fed up with the crumpled look myself and in the end when dd said she liked it we gave it to her. I really love the high thread count cotton that S and S do, so planning on more of that when I can afford it. It just gets better and more soft as you wash it, really lovely.

Seasalt do lovely soft 100% cotton duvet covers. They’re lovely, wash and iron really nicely.
