Novice decorator- how to paint over these patches on ceiling?

Hi!

Bank holiday decorating and I’m a bit baffled. In the bathroom we had a problem with damp due to broken extractor- all fixed now. I’m repainting the whole bathroom but above the shower the paint has peeled off back to bare plaster. I’ve scraped off all the loose paint but now there is an edge- do I just do a coat on the bare plaster bit to build the level back up before painting the whole ceiling? As you can tell we’re new owners and this is my first solo decorating 😂

I would get some filler on it then sand it or it won't be smooth when you paint over it .

Maybe a primer before bathroom paint. Zinsser is a good one
