Thinking of one for our decking. Are those that are made of plastic just hosed down?

Seems too good to be true.

They blow away when its windy.

Mine are fine and have never blown away but I have furniture on them. Yes they just hose down because they're plastic based. IME they last about 3 years and after that they look knackered.

I think you're definitely making the right decision when it comes to outdoor rugs! They're brilliant. It's funny, but a lot of people have suddenly become really interested in outdoor rugs since Oprah did her interview with Meghan and Harry, they had a massive outdoor rug in that garden! Think it was even trending on Twitter for a while too! Grin

There's loads of options available. From what I've researched, you can go with synthetic options like polyester and polypropylene which can just be left outside year round and just hosed down to get rid of any dirt build up. Some natural options available too made of sisal and jute. These would need to be taken up regularly though.

Great guide on this topic here if you're interested: www.landofrugs.com/blog/choosing-best-outdoor-rug/
