Like IKEA pax but different height

I want a full height fitted style wardrobe with drawers, rail and shelves along one wall in our bedroom and the IKEA Pax is ideal but the tall is slightly too tall for our room & the shorter one is shorter than I'm after. Anyone seen anything similar around 210-225cm tall. Sadly can't afford bespoke hence looking at Ikea!

Homebase do a modular wardrobe that is 213cm tall. Limited choices though, and looks quite expensive to me

You can chop the taller IKEA ones down if you handy with a saw and assemble upright (so you don't have to have the tilt room). You can't cut a lot off though. There are videos on YouTube.
It's what we're planning to do if we ever get to that stage with our money pit.

Buy the shorter one and buy made to measure doors elsewhere and the top becomes an extra shelf? I’ve also seen crown moulding used to fill the gap at the top if you don’t want doors.

If you’re handy, you could maybe build a platform at the bottom and stand the shorter pax on top of it. We have something similar in our dressing room but it’s only about 10cm tall.

Thanks all lots of ideas and DH is quite handy so he's going to look at various options and see if we can work with the pax ones as they do seem to be the best option

Check the Pax you want are in stock. IKEA have been having supply problems for ages.
