Harlequin Wallpaper Advice Please?

Haven’t used a Harlequin paper before but just about to - is their own adhesive worth using? The place I’m buying the paper is recommending using their ready mixed tub. Is it any better than standard paste?

I don't know , sorry. What I would do is look at what you are spending on the wallpaper and see what the incremental cost of their own ready mixed tub they recommend is vs standard paste and see if the difference is worth (potentially) messing up the wallpaper.

Risk averse - me ?

Or if you are using , ask decorators.

@BasiliskStare Haha, I’ve ordered their paste for that exact reason 🙈 the paper was £65 per roll so I’ll use what they recommend 🤣

£65 per roll is not a trivial amount - what is the saying ? - for the want of a nail the horse was lost . It might work with normal paste but assuming you do it well - at least you can go back & say - we used everything you asked us to. Whereas if you try to skimp on the paste they can try to shift the blame. ( Not saying they would ) but for a few £s extra - you have followed their recommendations.

As my mother always says - pay cheap pay twice.

@BasiliskStare Yeah absolutely!! Actually found some reviews online from professionally painter and decorators who apparently love the Harlequin paste 🤷🏻‍♀️ Lots of rave reviews!! Not sure I could get as excited about wallpaper paste but each to their own 🤣
