Dulux Willow Tree for bedroom

I'm thinking of doing my spare, south facing bedroom in Dulux Willow Tree. Would it be too much to do all four walls? Or would you just do one /feature or two walls?

I bought this once thinking it would look lovely in my hallway. I hated it. It was far greener than it showed on the tin.
In a large sunny room it may well look lovely.

Definitely more suited to a bathroom or kitchen

I’ve just decorated my spare room in this and it looks lovely, so would highly recommend. Really peaceful and relaxing.

It's very green! We have it in an attic room with sloping ceilings which are white as are the built in wardrobe doors. It is still very green. It is also calm and relaxing and I like the fact that it is different.

Thank you for your posts. Now I'm having doubts about this colour. What other colours would you use for a south facing (spare) bedroom. It's a good sized room. I'm so useless at choosing colours.

We have tranquil dawn in our bedroom which is a lovely green, worth checking out

TooTiredToBeCreative · 12/04/2021 07:46

Have you tried the dulux Visualizer app? I was going to go fro willow tree or similar but after seeing it on the wall I hated it and have gone for something completely different!

stuckinarutatwork · 12/04/2021 07:48

Tranquil dawn is lovely. More greyish green than green green though. Willow is very green.
Try some testers. Best painted onto a good size square of lining paper tear off a free sample piece in your favourite DIY store and then you can move it around the room to see how it looks on different light.

Game changer!

We've gone for tranquil dawn over willow tree for our bedroom. Willow tree is very green like the leaves of a willow.

SnugglySnerd · 12/04/2021 08:52

We have just painted our kitchen that colour and love it. It is pale green, we were saying it would be nice in a bedroom yesterday! Having said that our kitchen is a very sunny room, it might look different in a less bright light.

HandsIntoTheFire · 12/04/2021 08:54

Dulux Apple white is nice. We wanted green in our hall and Willow Tree was too much. We went with Apple White and got a lot of compliments on it. It was nice and bright.

onthecraggyside · 12/04/2021 19:56

If you're not sure about willow tree you could try crown botanical extract?

everyonebutme · 13/04/2021 10:16

Hmm so many have said it's a bit too green (which was why I wondered whether I should do the whole room in it to begin with), I'm now thinking of Tranquil Dawn instead. I saw a pot of it in a shop yesterday and I quite like the colour. Those of you who have used it, did you do all the walls and then the ceiling, woodwork in white? I'm awful with interior design so am really looking for ideas/inspiration.

Yes we did all four walls with tranquil dawn and ceiling and woodwork white. There are loads of bedroom inspiration posts for it on pinterest and Instagram.
