Dining room redecoration

We are looking to redecorate our dining room after a leak. The previous owners put up a dado rail and papered above. I am thinking about getting rid of paper and just painting in case we get another leak as the bathroom is above. Looking at using F & B Pale Powder on the lower half and maybe James White on the top. Do you think these colours coordinate or should I go for a contrast?

It's up to you, it's your home but for me, I would want more of a contrast. unless you are changing the curtains for something darker, otherwise it would just be too bland for me. Why not get some samples and try a few combinations?
