Lidded glass bowl - how to display

I have a lidded crystal glass bowl (a bit like this photo) that is about 15-20cm so a decent size. It has sentimental value but I suspect not very fashionable right now or valuable.

Any ideas how best to use/display it? It currently has blue glass beads in for some reason. I'm sure my parents will have had pot pourri in it when I was a child!

Wrapped sweets? Fake greenery? Sugared almonds in lovely pale colours? Glass marbles? A mixture of coloured Lego?

Or look at the colours you have in the room already and find something that matches?

I would put a tangle or two of battery operated fairy lights in it.

I came to say fairy lights too

Thanks, hadn't thought of fairy lights but I think that will work well.

I have seen glass sweets used for bowls like this. If you put it somewhere where the light will hit it the colours look lovely. No idea where you buy glass sweets though!

I put sweets in a similar glass bowl, I change the sweets up at different times of year, Easter is mini eggs etc etc.
