Royal blue sofa or yellow sofa??

We're redecorating a small living room and I am having total sofa indecision!

I'm oscillating between this sofa in royal blue or in yellow approx hourly today

I prefer the royal blue & I also think it the yellow would show up more marks than the blue so the blue would look newer for longer. Gorgeous sofa!

I like it in the navy. The yellow (pumpkin!) will show every mark. You will be a nervous wreck anytime anyone sits on it with a cup of tea or glass of wine. It will also date very quickly.Don’t like the royal blue

The yellow's nice but not very practical, so I'd go blue.

I would choose blue even though I love the yellow, I imagine I would tire of the yellow and it would look grubby more quickly.

I like the blue better.

IKEA have yellow cushion covers.

I love the yellow but I’ve had a yellow sofa for about 5years and it does look dirty. Great from a distance but the arms especially look awful as the kids seem to be unable to resist touching the arms whenever they walk past it or resting their feet on it. If you don’t have kids or they are housetrained better than mine I’d go yellow.

The yellow would be filthy in my house with a week and I’d get tired of it.

Wow I was not expecting responses that fast!
The grubbiness aspect of the yellow hadn't really occurred to me, but now I think about it we are always wearing jeans and I imagine the denim would give it a manky tinge over time too. Sad times.
I think my heart says be brave and have yellow. My head says have blue, it's fabulously vibrant as well. And get yellow cushions!
DH says either is fine which is nice but I feel the burden of getting the choice right...

@IdblowJonSnow I absolutely would be precious about a sofa costing best part of £1000 🤣
It'll be the first time we've ventured beyond IKEA and I'm wincing at scary prices!

I LOVE the yellow.

As I’m spending your money, I’d choose yellow. If I was spending my own, I’d choose the blue (it’ll have more longevity).
