Perfect greige paint

Help me find the perfect greige paint for a south facing room.

I've tried:
Dulux rock salt- too light/cool toned

Dulux white mist-too cream

B&Q Whistler-too cream

Farrow and ball ammonite-too cream

Farrow and ball cornforth white - this is a possibility maybe just a shade too dark.

Ignore me 🤦‍♀️ I have Wimborne white which for me is the perfect cream, as in literally the colour of single cream

I've used Egyptian cotton in a few houses. I'd call it a mushroom colour. Goes well with navy. And pink tones- it's a real neutral colour.

Natural hessian, might be a bit dark though.

I've just painted my bedroom in Egyptian cotton i really like it. It's a very sunny triple access room.
Don't judge me for my panelling I know it's not very popular on Mumsnet

Little Greene Rolling Fog Pale.

I have the rolling fog in a south facing room with massive windows. It really takes the glare off compared with the white that was in there.

Egyptian cotton in my living room isn't really a grey. It's a lovely colour though and imo greige and grey have had it a bit. I'd say EC is a neutral. I have it with creams, green and a grey sofa. This is in quite a dark room and I find it very cosy in winter but also looks nice in summer too. Sisal flooring and a mismatch of other natural furniture. This wasn't the look I was going for but it evolved because of the EC walls Unpainted about 2 years ago. I love it atm. But I read on here the other day that this is the new navy and I fear I may not like it so much in a few months .

Another Egyptian cotton vote here. It doesn’t look as dark as it does in the swatches posted here.

I definitely think the south facing aspect is throwing colours off the majority of the ones mentioned are definitely cream/beige and not my style at all.

The closest contenders so far are F&B cornforth white and dulux pebble shore.
I'm waiting on a tester for strong white.

If that's no good I'll either rethink the whole idea or decide between cornforth white and pebble shore.

I have got egyptian cotton in my house. It is a lovely colour but not a hint of grey in it on my walls, definitely more of the mushroom colour someone mentioned earlier in the thread.

F&B Shadow White or Shaded White

Natural hessian, might be a bit dark though.

We have Natural Hessian in our bedroom. I love it so much, but think it is probably too dark, looking at the other colours.

Is it bad that my house has been painted in the shades mentioned here!!

Egyptian Cotton - not a hint of grey. Just a beige / neutral.
Natural Hessian - just cream. It was exactly the same colour as unpainted lining paper
Elephants Breath - a dark beige / mushroom in our house. No grey.
Pebble Shore - now that's definitely a greige. Paler than the other colours mentioned.

F&B Dropcloth. No brown, just a lovely grey-beige

Our bathroom is Egyptian cotton and lounge is pebble shore. For us the bathroom is much darker a more brownish beige and the lounge a definite lighter cashmere/greige.

Pebble shore is my favourite paint ever.
