Best wooden Venetian blinds?

Don't want to spend £££ on proper shutters as don't think we will stay in this house longer than about 3 more years - but we live on a busy street and need to have some privacy whilst letting in a decent amount of light. Current semi-sheer ones are down all the time and make me feel claustrophobic. What would everyone recommend?

I have recently purchased some made to measure white faux wood Venetians from Blinds2go for a couple of rooms in my house.

I opted for without tapes as I feel they look busy and obstruct the view on anything less than huge windows. They were a great price, easy to install myself and look good (I think). Much nicer than the hideous verticals they replaced and let in decent daylight when tilted to open. I’m happy.

I used a local company to measure and fit.
I went for the largest slat size of white wooden blind. I'm pleased as they look just as good as shitters but let in a massive amount of light, far more than shutters do in similar windows in neighbours houses.

I used blinds2go simply because they had the colour I wanted (darker wood colour). I also went for tapes because I do have a very large window. Look great, reasonably easy to fit but check the video posted. can't remember which way round it was, but if you slot them in the wrong way (back before front for example) you'll spend 40 mins trying to get them to fit in before checking the video and doing it in 2 mins - sigh. Good price and mine came in a hilarys blinds box so suspect they also supply for them (but half the price)

@HidingFromDD

I know this is a year old, but please are you pleased with your blind. Also did you go for faux wood or actual wood?

Very pleased with them. Went for the faux wood as wanted specific colour and they look great. I have a lot of wood in the room and they don’t look ‘fake’. Have since used for some other white faux wood for the front of the house. Didn’t get tapes on these as there was a laundry room and a bathroom and wasn’t sure if the tapes would work with the humidity. They’re good also but I do prefer the look with the tapes
