Jet / whirlpool baths...

What are your thoughts - good or bad idea?!? I think they look tacky and will be a never ending source of limescale - OH keen for one.... and kids would no doubt love it...

Personally I find the idea of sitting in a perpetual vortex of your own dead skin flakes + bathwater to be not far short of horrifying, but the enduring popularity of outdoor hot tubs suggests I might be in a minority.

We had one in our house when we moved in. We turned it on for a laugh but believe me when I tell you I wasn't laughing at the muck that came out of the jets 🤮 we ripped it out as soon as we could

We bought a house with one. It clearly hadn't been used for a while as so much grotty stuff came out of the pipes. Once we'd cleaned it all, it was a novelty for the kids for a couple of bath times. They then gave up on it and favour our other, ordinary bath. My husband uses it still, because it's bigger, but the jets have since broken and it's a bugger to clean.

When we replace the bathroom, we'll have a normal bath instead.
