Bathroom cabinet has ‘bubbled’? (Photo included)

Any ideas as to why this happens and, more urgently, what I can do about this (buying a new cabinet aside!)? Thank you!

The heat /water /steam has caused the coating to peel away from the board underneath.

Hot hairdryer might make it shrink back, but to be honest it’s probably not up to the job and you should take / send it back.

Ah, thanks @RestingPandaFace - it’s an old-ish cabinet that’s set in (not installed/bought by me!) so not able to send back... will have a go with the hairdryer though! 🤞🏼

Are you sure it's not a protective film that should have been peeled off? I've been caught out by that before.

That looks like someone has covered it with fablon and it’s bubbles and coming off,

Is that mould on it?
