Eyelet curtains and bracket dilemma

The brackets of curtain poles should be placed approx 4-6 inches away from the window to allow for the window to be fully visible when the curtains are open.

Unfortunately my brackets are placed just above the window so when the curtains are open some of the window is still covered. The curtain pole is long enough to be extended, I just need to know how to best hang the eyelet curtains. Is there a work around for this issue? I don’t want to remove the existing brackets and make new holes in the wall. Thanks

You could have more than one eyelet on the pole between th bracket and end of pole. That should reduce the amount of fabric hanging over the window, but might just mean the curtains sent full enough when they’re drawn.
I guess tie backs aren’t enough to sort the problem? you could put tie backs further in from the window to pull them back further?

I can’t think of a really good way to do it without moving the brackets, so which is least bad to you - curtains obscuring part of the window or moving the brackets?

I have what Saz12 suggests.

Thanks both. I will have a play around with them when I hang them up and see which looks better.

I would suggest move brackets too or get extandable brackets to move further away from the window if you dont want to make more holes in the wall.

Here are lots of these brackets - www.polesandblinds.com/curtain-pole-brackets-connectors/extendable-brackets
