Fence/shed/playhouse paint colours.

We have a lot of wood in our garden, all hastily painted last autumn with Ronseal Harvest Gold. It has now turned an horrific bright orange.

I’m hoping to paint over it with a fairly light colour and was thinking of one colour for the fence and another for the shed and playhouse, to break it up a bit. Any suggestions? Also, any photos would be great.

I’ve got a notion to paint mine cream and sage green. It looks lovely on Pinterest but I suspect would just be grubby looking in a week. Fortunately dh is far too sensible about these things!

We started a few years ago with orange fences that Donald Trump would have been proud of and repainted them a mid-dark grey. A tip I got at the time was to go towards darker rather than brighter colours because you want the garden to stand out rather than the fence iyswim. But in your case you might like to make more a feature of the shed and playhouse and go bright on them.

@thelegohooverer I was thinking of a combo of grey-beige and a lighter cream but you’re right about it getting grubby.
